Who Are We?
The EIN is a Group of volunteers working in conjunction with
the Parish council to implement parts of the
Parish Plan
What is our Goal?
It is to make Thurleigh an even more pleasant place to live.
A tidier Village was requested by a high percentage of
Villagers in the pre-plan questionnaire
What Have We Done?

What Can You Do?
- Keep Hedges trimmed and cut back from paths
- Please clear up after your dogs, there are plenty of
dog bins round the village - one child has been reported
as falling into mess near the school. It is an offence
under the Dog (Fouling of Land) Act 1996 with either an
on the spot fine or £1000 if taken to court.
- Keep Wheelie Bins off the pavements apart from
collection day. This is an offence under section 46 of
the Envirnmental Protection Act. Not only is there a
fine, bins may cause an obstruction and have been a
target for arson around the country. So keep your cash
in your pocket and not in the Council's. Keep the
village tidy
- Anyone willing and able to join working parties to
clear footpaths, tidy up around the village, plant bulbs
or trees (As they become available) can contact the EIN
- Report to the EIN on any problems you come across
walking the footpaths. (Please give as much detail as
you can to enable us to identify the location)
